Concert in St. Stephens, Sept 4

We had a meeting today at Chelsea Old Town Hall. It is a very handsome building with lovely decor and paintings.

The big meeting hall has painted walls and ceilings.

Each side of the room has an allegorical painting - this one is historical in nature having Elizabeth and Henry VIII depicted.

Outside I saw this guy. Someone with a sense of humor gave him a cigarette.

In the evening we went to an Orchestra Vitae concert comemorating the first world war.

T.S. Eliot used to worship at this church.

It was a wonderful concert. There were poetry reading and the orchestra came into the aisles and played all around us.

I thought this might be a good place to put up a couple of my sketches. I'd been trying to do one aday.

This is the chair in the V and A.
