Additional Insect Info

Well, my wasp was an ichneumon and that weird thing at its tail is an intersegmental sac - it is so long it needs to keep it's tail (actually an ovipositor - means of depositing eggs) coiled up and safely stowed. Here is a better picture courtesy of the Wisconsin lakeshore preserve people.
