Fashion Show Part 3 of 3

The first piece from the third part of the Stitches fashion show was called Whimsey by Maureen Mason-Jamieson in Ellen's Half Pint Farm's Baby Alpaca and Silk Laeweight.

This is the Erika Poncho designed by Martin Storey in Rowan Alpaca Cotton.

A truly amazing lace project came next. River Run designed by Karen Joan Raz in Just Our Yarn's Almaza.

The shawl was knit in a very fine yarn and seemed to float.

They called this the Multi-wear Wrap. It was designed for Tahki yarns in Alp Light.

To understand the construction, you have to see the back.

I did not get a shot of this piece although I like the effect. too bad you can't really see the Peahen Mitre Vee Capelet by Jane Slicer-Smith.

This is the Hand felted Ruana designed by Fayla Reiss in a Pagewood Farm Ruana kit. The colors were spectacular!

This is another of my favorite pieces, but I'm not sure if any knitting was involved.

The Oblique Shawl was designed by Asian Trends in their Interval yarn.

This is Laura Bryant's Athena Wrap (already shown in the description of the Hand-dyed Yarn class described below.) It is knitted in Prism's Merino Mia yarn.

We got to see it up close in our Manipulating Hand Painted Yarns Class.

One half is much darker than the other as you can tell with this shot of the back.

Here is the Color Burst Shawl with the Supple Rib vest feather and fingerless gloves. These were designed by Barb Kervin and kathy Zimmerman in Glisten by Kollage.

Her is another view of the back.

Next we saw the Smokey Quartz Shawl with the Less is More Sweater and Rib 'n Ruffles Gloves. These were also designed by Barb Kervin and Kathy Zimmerman in Glisten by Kollage.

The One Eighty designed by Twisted Sisters done in Jazz came next . It can be found in their book Twisted Traditions.

What makes it interesting is that it can be turned and worn in a different way.

The Mockingbird Shrug was designed by Karen Raz in Misti Alpaca Laceweight Alpaca.

You can see a little bit more of the back in the second photo.

This is the Flamenca Cardigan by Tina Whitmore in Louet's Riverstone yarn.

This Lacy Wrap Cardigan was lovely and fine. It was designed by Schulana in Kid Seta Melange.

The back can be seen in the next shot.

This one is blurry, but it is Louet's CIA done in their Kidlin laceweight yarn.

The next piece was kicky and sort of cute, because it had lots of fringe. It is the Kid Silk and Cha Cha Ruffled jacket. Fayla Reiss designed it for Trendsetters using Kid Silk Mohair and Cha cha Ribbon.

Jeanne Abel designed this wrap called Starry Starry Night. She used Blue Ridge Yarn's Shadow Mini.

Anastasia Blaes designed this piece called Romance by Candlelight. She used Kollage Yarn's Creamy for the Yarn Barn of Kansas.

The Candle Flame Lace pattern can be seen better in this shot of the back.

This one is quite appropriately called Sparkling Red. It was designed by Kathy Zimmerman for the Fall Issue of Knitters (2009). It looks like it is going to be a wonderful issue!

I lightened this shot a bit too much - this is an Indigo Cardigan with Simple Twist Fingerless Gloves. It was designed by Kathy Zimmerman in Kollage Yarns' Glisten. The gloves were designed by Barb Kervin in 1/2 and 1/2.

Another lovely red piece was designed by Jane McGowan-Michael of White Lies Designs. She used Cascade Yarns' Cash Vero Aran.

The final piece listed in the program was Jane Slicer-Smith's Harlequin Coat.

A final shawl was added (but not in the program.) It was green with dangling sparkles.

All in all a very enjoyable show!
