Show and Tell

After our foray into Vladivostok, it was time to get together for Show and Tell.  We did it up right with refreshments and fancy rice crackers and treats provided by Judy and Mary Beth! Gosh, they were good!

and of course presented beautifully as is necessary of any Japanese gift!

Each if us stood up and gave a highlight of our stash acquisition experiences.  We were all rapt by the great deals and purchases made by our group!

I'm not sure what Lois is showing us here, but she certainly has Mel's attention!

Chris (who was the Queen of Excellent Acquisitions) and Mary Beth also watched attentively.

Rita showed us that there were more important things than material acquisition.

And Lily showed us how she had hit the perfect proportion to get a lovely striping pattern with her hand dyed yarn.

She had also purchased this really cool Crochet magazine at the first Russian shop and it had incredible Irish Lace type patterns in it as well as a paris Hilton look-alike model.

We had noticed the popularity of this physical type already in our trip to Vladivostok. Here is an underwear model that exhibited similar appearance traits.

We left feeling like we had done so well that there was no way that it could get any better (but of course little did we know even though the cashmere was still to come!!)
