Evening on the Ship

Our first evening also included a formal dinner night. We had three such events on our cruise. Men were (supposedly) required to wear tuxedoes and women to dress formally. Of course we played fast and loose with the rules, but dressed nicely and enjoyed the ambience. Pam came prepared for the occasion wearing the most gorgeous beaded dress.

I did what I could given my minimalist packing.

Others like Shirley and Rita did a much better job than I of dressing for the occasion! 

It was a lovely evening and we enjoyed the company and the atmosphere. Janet and Chris look like they are having a great discussion about cashmere, don't they!!?

The conversation was indeed sparkling.

And the wine was not (thank goodness!) Lily and Barbara are served by our Beverage steward Judith.

After dinner, however, we were all happy to put on our regular clothes and go to the library to knit!
