Various Garden Images

The garden has been lovely this year, although I haven't gotten very good pictures of it. The Irises and Lilacs have come and gone and a rain storm a couple of days ago took out the poppies. Because of Covid 19 I decided to do some vegetables this year. They had to be planted in beds near the house to keep the rabbits and deer from devouring them, so they are in beds that usually have flowers.

Below is my cherry tree. It has cherrieson it. The blossom period was very short and I didn't get any good images of it, but I am going to try and get some of the cherries!! ;-)

The perennieal poppy in the Western bed had five buds, but the rain got most of them. This is before the thelast ones opened. Clearly the peonies and the poppy clash, so Iam going to have to move something, but I haven't yet decided what should go where.

This is a humming bird that was resting on the wire that holds our bird feeder. It is a very fuzzy image, but I am amazed I got it at all!.

These are peopnies in the Japanese garden in the back yard. (The cherry treeis also in that garden.)

This is the herb garden in the front yard. You can see the basil seedlings in the front. The sun drops aren't really herbs, but I wanted a little color in this bed. I am going to move some of the sun drops to the east side of the house.

This is kale in the "tier garden in the back yard. I usually have flowers in this bed, but wanted to keep the bunnies away from it.

Here's my red and white garden. It always seems to get visitors from  other color groups!
