A Taste Test
My Sister who was a famous blogger used to do these taste test blogs that were wonderful, so today in her honor, Violet and I did a taste test.
So here is our product.
How could you not buy this if you passed it by in the store?
Violet took the chocolate and I took the pink.
So here's the verdict!

Sundry images from various visits
This image is from a Jack the Ripper Walk. It is the White Chapel neighborhood that the Ripper visited or perhaps lived in.
I love this watch out for the pigeons sign on the street.
Another famous home.
White chapel still has the over worked and the underemployed.
This is John Bennett, who is a famous Ripperologist walking through one of White Chapel's streets.
After the walk, Violet and I visited a lovely Greek restaurant for a fantastic meal.
We also saw some interesting places. This is an old livery company that is still going strong.
This is me standing on the corner of our block.
This is the hat I got in Portobello Road.
This is a cool backpack - but it wasn't very rugged - the zipper has already gone out.
This is where Dick Whittington lived when he was mayor of London.
I thought these windows were pretty, but don't remember anymore where they were.
I pass by this furniture fairly regularly. It is colorful and unusual.
This is the Ministry of Defense, I think. It has interesting sculptures that look very much like Epstein.

Shawl Update
I've done next to no knitting because I have been so busy, but
finally picked up my shawl and tried to remember what the heck I had
been doing, so I have knit an inch or two. Here is how it stands.

Portobello road
We decided to check out Portobello Road on September 27. There were a lot of people there, but it was fun!
Of course there were lots of weird things to see.
Violet and I love vintage clothing stores, so we checked out a few while we were there.
They had theis Union Jack beaded headdress, but it didn't really suit me.
You could find everything from lace ....
to gas masks.
And the food was very tempting.
Look at all the donuts!
There was even paella.
And of course what Portobello is most famous for is junk, er... I mean antiques.
I loved the decoration on this building.
There were Bobbies too.
and also buskers!
These guys were lip-synching!
And there were French bulldogs! (Or at least one!)
Some of the buildings were pretty, like this one covered in ivy.
And I also saw this building I was surprised to see what famous resident it once had.
I even bought a hat at a shop.
