Okay, so this is a doily that I started using the haor of my newest cat. I have been spinning it on a little spindle and today I decided to do a few more rows and bind it off/ The color is a bit yellower than it looks here, and it has quite a halo.
The iris along the driveway are beginning to bloom. Spring is finally here.
As I was looking for another ball of yarn for my shawl, I dug up this old piece that I had knitted from cat hair and silk. Alas, Deja is no longer with us, but it is nice to have a memory of her.

I have several things to offer and for this post I think I will focus on the fiber world although I certainly do many other kinds of crafty things too.
I love to spin and knit and here are some examples of things I've done with fiber. This is some yarn that I spun and then dyed with Koolaid.
This is the infamous dog hair shawl - spun from the hair of my Great Pyrenese dog and then knitted into a lace pattern.
This is hair from my Persian cat that I have tried to spin very very fine.
Here is a vest that I knitted sideways and have always liked. I don't see it anymore because I gave it to a friend who lives in California.
I also weave and am particularly interested in a rug-making weave called bound weave. Here are some of my early rug designs.
The Green one is woven with unspun fleece.
The next two are more bound weave.

Finally here is the one I am working on currently (or rather am ignoring currently - It has been on the loom a really long time, but the loom is in the back of the house and I like to be in the main house area where stuff happens, so I don't sit and weave too much on my floor loom.)
