I don't quite understand what you are saying, but I haven't been in Japan for several years now and was not trying to make any kind of definitive claim. I was just asking questions and hypothesizing. I will try to look at the sources you cite as I would like to know the answer to this complex problem.AfKaPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03810082664811335693noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5692235335146166914.post-72581858109145896142014-06-18T10:32:41.369-05:002014-06-18T10:32:41.369-05:00"Taubes also notes that in the 1870s when the..."Taubes also notes that in the 1870s when the Japanese switched over to eating (polished) white rice rather than brown" reason is that when they eat brown rice there hair get grey. Beri beri was in them only because they dont eat vitamin B1 (they eat only white rice)"Even now, rice is eaten at the end of the meal as a kind of dessert (for the most part) and not in huge quantities" o please if you are really in Japan then you lie. http://whatjapanthinks.com/2007/02/05/almost-four-in-five-japanese-eat-rice-daily/ this statistic show that they eat 2times a day (but what more many can eat 2 or 3 bowls in one time). ALso look at studies on Iq from japan there you can find how many they eat rice.<br />Taubes notes that the diet eaten by Sumo wrestlers to bulk up basically doubles the amount of carbohydrates in the typical Japanese diet- you think they dont adjust that ? Italy next 9 to 10 family eat pasta daily bread is also common.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02949456248303150747noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5692235335146166914.post-26869900336861368282011-05-06T22:13:53.666-05:002011-05-06T22:13:53.666-05:00Hi, LG, I'll definitely check out the 4 Hour ...Hi, LG, I'll definitely check out the 4 Hour Body. Thanks for the tip. As far as Japan - well I was much more active there than here, so I maintained, but I ate a lot more carbs than usual. Since I mostly cooked for myself, I could limit them to some extent, but I also wanted to try foods I had not had before, so I was not terribly strict about my carbs.AfKaPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03810082664811335693noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5692235335146166914.post-36950296645581527802011-05-06T21:57:33.700-05:002011-05-06T21:57:33.700-05:00This comment has been removed by the author.little glitcheshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06714813745053584250noreply@blogger.com
